King Abdulaziz  & His Companions Foundation for Giftedness & Creativity (Mahwiba) offers several opportunities for a high school students

to participate in, on a national and international scale, such as:

Mawhiba International Summer Programs

All expense paid scholarship to attend prestigious summer educational programs, such as

  • RSI @MIT

  • SRSI @KAUST

  • CITY @JohnsHopkins

  • SIG @Princeton.

The best time to register is during the beginning of 10th grade. These programs are open to students for their first two summers of high school (between 10th and 11th grade and between 11th and 12th grade)

National Innovation Olympiad & ISEF

Each year, the National Innovation Olympiad welcomes students who have research projects or creative inventions. These students compete in a number of rounds that ends with the final national round held in Riyadh.

The winners from the National Innovation Olympiad are then sent to the US to attend the Intel International Science & Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF). Wining at either the National Innovation Olympiad or Intel ISEF helps considerably with getting into a top American college.

Mawhiba Math & Science Olympiads

Every year, Mawhiba searches for the best Saudi talent in the STEM fields, more specifically Math, Chemistry and Physics. Students who qualify for the first rounds, receive complete sponsorship from Mawhiba to study in Riyadh for intense training for the international Olympiads.

This is arguably one of the best extracurricular activities one can participate in, due to the prestige of attending an international Olympiad, as well as the great educational experience one will receive through Mawhiba.
